Role Overview
The Accountant at Matsbond will handle daily accounting tasks including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements. This role supports the finance team by maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards, and assisting with audits. The Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring financial data integrity that supports effective project management and operational success in Matsbond’s diverse sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Record financial transactions accurately and timely using accounting software.
Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable regularly.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Maintain general ledger and ensure all entries comply with accounting standards.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Assist with payroll processing and tax compliance activities.
Monitor expense reports and ensure proper coding and approvals.
Maintain financial filing systems and documentation for easy retrieval.
Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve financial discrepancies.
Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years accounting experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
