We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Sous Chef to support kitchen operations in a seafood processing and preparation environment. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen activities, ensuring high-quality seafood preparation, hygiene compliance, and smooth workflow in a fast-paced setting.
Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and staff supervision
Oversee seafood preparation, cooking, and presentation according to company standards
Ensure food quality, taste, and consistency at all times
Monitor hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards (HACCP compliance)
Train and guide commis chefs, prep chefs, and kitchen helpers
Ensure proper handling and storage of seafood products
Step in as acting Head Chef when required
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Leadership and team management skills.
Physically fit.
Preferred Qualifications
Culinary diploma or certification is a plus.
Prior experience in seafood processing or kitchen work preferred.
