Job Description:
  • Job description Job Title: Placement Broker Department: Technical Operations Reports To: Director – Reinsurance Type: Full-time Location: DIFC, Dubai, UAE. We’re not looking for someone to “work” We’re looking for someone who has career aspirations and dreams to hit the moon. We are a reinsurance brokerage house with a strong presence in many markets and we’re building a team of brokers who don’t wait to be told what to do. People who think, negotiate, and serve clients with excellence. People who understand that Broking is a art, not an administrative function. If your idea of broking is forwarding slips and waiting for quotes, this role will make you uncomfortable. This role is about delivering results with excellence, from marketing, negotiations and converting the deals with precision, discipline, and commercial instinct. WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO You will:
  • Own your assigned markets and portfolios end-to-end, every enquiry, every renewal, every conversation, every deadline.
  • Convert incoming enquiries (offers) into bound placements by structuring, marketing, and negotiating with reinsurers.
  • Analyze risk submissions, slips, and underwriting information to prepare clear, accurate presentations for markets.
  • Negotiate terms with conviction, capacity, pricing, conditions and close deals within timelines.
  • Advise cedants on appropriate reinsurance structures and solutions, including limits, layers, markets, and wording implications.
  • Provide reinsurance input during negotiations, risk management discussions, and claims-related discussions.
  • Structure and prepare complete placement documentation: Slips, underwriter submissions, policy wordings, endorsements, and bespoke clauses tailored to client needs.
  • Build, strengthen, and retain relationships with cedants, reinsurers, and other partners through consistent, professional communication.
  • Travel to key markets and conferences.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality and compliance across all documents and communication.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal SOPs, regulatory requirements, and company compliance standards.
  • Prepare timely monthly reports and updates on pipeline, conversions, and market feedback. You should apply ONLY if you:
  • Are already experienced in facultative placements with minimum supervision.
  • Thrive in fast-moving, high-volume, detail-heavy reinsurance environments.
  • Take ownership and don’t need reminders to update pipelines or close loops.
  • Can switch comfortably between submissions, analytics, negotiation calls, and documentation without losing accuracy.
  • Are commercially driven, you care about conversion, not “forwarded emails.”
  • Hold yourself to extremely high documentation standards. You should NOT apply if you:
  • Treat broking as admin or coordination.
  • Avoid negotiation because it's uncomfortable.
  • Need constant supervision, follow-up, or handholding.
  • Prefer quantity over quality.
  • Think confidentiality and documentation are optional. What you’ll get:
  • A chance to shape how we grow our markets.
  • Full ownership of your markets.
  • A structured environment with SOPs, but the freedom to bring your own judgment, initiative, and sharp thinking.
  • Opportunities to travel to key markets and conferences.
  • Competitive salary package, visa, medical insurance, life insurance, annual leave, and performance-based bonus. Non-negotiables:
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in facultative reinsurance broking.
  • Must hold bachelor’s degree in business, Insurance, Finance or related field. Professional insurance qualification (e.g., CII or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data handling.
  • Strong time management, able to handle different time zones, multiple cases and deadlines under pressure.
  • High sense of confidentiality, professionalism, and ownership. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you! Please submit your resume and a cover letter to hr@manojre.com outlining your experience and why you are the ideal candidate for this role.
