Job Description:

Job Type: Full-time, Site-based

Work Location: UAE (new project sites)

Reporting To: Project Manager / Site Engineer

Role Summary

We are hiring Site Foremen to lead and coordinate on-site execution of Dewatering Works and Cathodic Protection (CP) Works. The role focuses on supervising field crews, coordinating daily activities, ensuring workmanship quality, and enforcing HSE requirements. This position does not involve oil & gas drilling or water-well drilling but preferred if has the experience on it. ADNOC certified is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1) Site Supervision and Daily Execution

• Supervise daily dewatering and CP activities in accordance with approved method statements and project schedule.

• Allocate manpower, tools, and equipment effectively to meet daily targets.

• Conduct daily site briefings and coordinate work fronts with other contractors (civil, MEP, utilities) to avoid conflicts.

2) Dewatering Works

• Supervise installation, operation, and maintenance of dewatering systems, such as:

 Wellpoint systems and header lines

 Deepwell pumps and discharge lines

 Sumps, temporary drainage, and diversion arrangements

• Monitor discharge performance (flow, turbidity/clarity, pump stability), ensure continuous operation, and arrange immediate corrective action when required (blockages, leaks, pump trips, generator issues).

• Ensure proper routing and protection of hoses/pipes, safe crossings, and housekeeping of discharge areas.

3) Cathodic Protection Works

• Supervise CP field activities in line with approved drawings and procedures, including:

 Installation of anodes

 Cable laying, jointing, and terminations

 Installation of test stations, junction boxes, and identification tags

 Backfilling and reinstatement in coordination with civil works

• Coordinate with the technical team for continuity checks and basic site verification prior to formal testing/commissioning.

4) Quality Control and Site Records

• Ensure works are executed to the required quality standards and client/consultant expectations.

• Maintain daily records: manpower, equipment, materials used, work completed, constraints, and progress photos.

• Report nonconformities, site risks, and delays promptly to the Project Manager with practical mitigation actions.

5) Safety and Compliance (HSE)

• Enforce strict HSE compliance for working around excavations, live services, pumps, generators, and lifting operations.

• Ensure PPE compliance, barricading/signage, safe access/egress, and proper permit-to-work coordination where applicable.

• Stop unsafe work immediately and escalate incidents/near-misses in accordance with company procedures.

6) Coordination and Logistics

• Coordinate material deliveries (pipes, valves, fittings, pumps, cables, backfill materials) and ensure secure, organized storage on site.

• Liaise with subcontractors, operators, and suppliers to maintain continuity of operations and reduce downtime.

Requirements

  • Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years experience as a foreman or leading hand in dewatering and/or cathodic protection site works (construction projects).

• Practical experience with pumps, generators, discharge lines, and dewatering system troubleshooting is strongly preferred.

Technical Competencies

• Ability to read and execute basic drawings, shop drawings, and site layouts.

• Familiarity with daily reporting, progress tracking, and coordination of multiple work fronts.

• Basic understanding of CP installation components (cables, joints, test stations) is an advantage.

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and discipline in managing site labour and subcontractors.

• High adaptability to outdoor conditions and shift-based work if required.

• Clear communication and problem-solving mindset under schedule pressure.

Languages

• English is required for reporting and coordination.

• Arabic is a strong advantage.
