As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing electrical systems that meet project specifications while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
Duties and Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems for construction projects, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
Conduct feasibility studies and prepare technical reports to support project proposals.
Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical designs into overall project plans.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Perform calculations to determine load requirements and system capacities.
Oversee the installation of electrical systems on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot electrical issues during construction and provide effective solutions.
Maintain accurate documentation of designs, changes, and project progress.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry.
Proficiency in using engineering software such as AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools for design purposes.
Strong understanding of electrical codes (e.g., NEC) and safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
